Dr Mian is a board-certified endocrinologist and has been practicing endocrinology for nine years. She sees patients with a spectrum of hormonal disorders including but not limited to: PCOS, thyroid nodules, Hashimoto’s disease, Graves hyperthyroidism, obesity, adrenal insufficiency, growth hormone deficiency and osteoporosis. She is ECNU certified (Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound) through the AACE (American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists) and does thyroid ultrasounds and thyroid nodule biopsies.

After many years of treating hundreds of patients struggling with hormonal disorders, she found that despite fixing their lab numbers, they still did not feel well and continued to experience fatigue, hair loss and depression. This led her on a journey to try and fit in the missing pieces of the puzzle and to find ways to help her patients improve their quality of life. One of these missing pieces was functional medicine.

She is in the process of getting certified in functional medicine and likes to incorporate a comprehensive approach into her practice, as health is affected by many factors, including lifestyle, environmental, emotional and spiritual factors. People are not just their lab values and Dr Mian likes to work together with her patients to work towards attaining optimal health.
